Golaghat, Assam | March 20, 2026 – Don Bosco College Golaghat, in collaboration with ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) and Don Bosco Job Placement Network – Dimapur, successfully hosted a vibrant Career Expo and Job Fair today, drawing over 170 registered candidates and more than 100 walk-ins eager for employment opportunities.
The event kicked off with a dignified inaugural session. Rev. Fr. KamilHoro, SDB led an invocation for God's blessings, followed by the Assam State Anthem. Rev. Dr. Fr. A. Amaladoss, SDB Principal of Don Bosco College Golaghat, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, emphasizing empowerment for Northeast India's youth. The chief guest, Dr.PutulSaikia, former Principal of DR College and Governing Body member of Don Bosco College Society, graced the occasion. In his speech he encouraged the job seekers to make use of the opportunities provided by the college and for their economic wellbeing and for a brighter future. The session concluded with the National Anthem.
Ten prominent recruiters participated, including Quess Corp, Spectrum Talent Solutions Limited, Tata AIG, Barbeque Nation, GramTarang, MRF, GNRC Hospital, Flywayy, Indian Army (promoting Agniveer), and others. While most conducted in-person interviews on-site, Nalanda Institution and select partners offered online sessions to broaden access.
Candidates engaged directly with employers, resulting in over 50 shortlists for further recruitment processes across various sectors. A standout feature was the event's commitment to inclusivity: differently abled participants received dedicated one-on-one interviews, gaining crucial exposure to professional practices and boosting their employability.
The program wrapped up with a felicitation ceremony for the recruiting HR representatives from each company and organization. They shared insights on recruitment policies and current vacancies, inspiring attendees with practical guidance.It is coordinated by the Placement Cell at Don Bosco College Golaghat and Mr.SebiChacko, Regional Coordinator of Don Bosco Job Placement Network, the fair fostered strong partnerships. Support from like-minded organizations helped identify recruiters and connect private employers with talent from Golaghat - Assam, Northeast, and PAN India.
