2^nd Fed 2023: International Wetlands Day was observed in our college by the members of Rotaract Club of Don Bosco College Golaghat in collaboration with Rotary Club of Golaghat.The progamme started at 9am with the welcoming of the members of Rotary Club of Golaghat.The members present were Dr.Minuara Begum (Secretary of Rotary Club of Golaghat), Mr.Sadiqur Rahman, Rtn Reena Jallan, Rtn Archana Bora, Rtn Kumud Saikia and Rtn Buli Gogoi . The massage was given by Dr .Minuara Begum, where she highlighted the importance of wetlands and the ways we can conserve the Mother Nature. She gave awareness on global protection of wetland because these water bodies bring good ecological health to not only water bodies but also to the environment as a whole. At last she also mentioned about the deepor beel, situated to the south-west of Guwahati city, in Kamrup Metropolitan district of Assam. It is a permanent freshwater lake also colled as wetland under the Ramsar Convention which has listed the lake as a Ramsar site in Asaam
