Don Bosco College Golaghat (DBCG) promotes high quality education for all sections of the
society in Assam State. It is part of the Worldwide Don Bosco Organizations and educational
institutions run and managed by Salesians of Don Bosco. The college has students from various
states of India particularly from the North East Indian region and caters to different cultural
backgrounds, religions, and ethnic groups. DBCG looks after every section of the society and
give special focus on the education of the tribal young people and their empowerment in all
domains of life. Though the college caters to all ethnic groups, the majority of the students
belong to the most economically backward tribal groups of Adivasi tribe.

Don Bosco Jibon Jyoti School is a primary school from Nursery to 5th standard, run and administered by Salesians of Don Bosco Golaghat. It was started in 2002 to provide basic and quality education to students coming from poor economic background. There are 117 students of which 52 students stay in the hostel. The school is an outreach programme of Don Bosco Golaghat which caters to the poorest of the poor.
