In North-East, from the Assam Don Bosco University to a Primary School in a remote village, all take pride in imparting quality education. In 2015, the Don Bosco Scoeity opened two more Degree Colleges: one at Kohima, Nagaland and the other at Golaghat, Assam.
Don Bosco College, Golaghat, is established and administered by the Salesians of Don Bosco, Dimapur Province. It offers Degree courses in Arts and Commerce. The college follows the System of Education, developed by St. John Bosco, which is widely known as the Preventive System of Education and is based on Reason, Love of God and Loving-kindness. It places before the staff, students and parents the high ideals of humanism and service towards which they are continually invited to strive. Don Bosco prepares students to life life in its fullness and at the same time be of service to humanity, by everyone leaving a mark in the society where one lives.
The College is affiliated to Dibrugarh University vide order No. DU/RG/DCDC/19/Aff./PERM./dbc/105 dated 30/04/2019 and is Recognised under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 vide F. No. 8-735/2019 (CPP-I/C) dated 20 Oct 2020.
