Don Bosco College Golaghat commemorated Constitution Day on November 26, 2025, in the Conference Hall with great enthusiasm. Dr. Piyali Dutta, Research Coordinator and Asst. Professor, Department of Political Science gave the significance of celebrating the constitution day. Dr. Sr. Sheela Paul and Fr. L. Alayee, Vice Principals and all the department students and staff participated in the programme. Proceedings started with Bro. Ankit Ekka hosting the event, followed by an introductory speech by Bro. Arbin Kujur, SDB and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge and unity.​  In his speech, he said that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly, played a pivotal role in shaping the Indian Constitution and is widely regarded as its chief architect. His vision ensured the inclusion of fundamental rights, protection of civil liberties, and provisions to promote justice, equality, and fraternity for all citizens of India.​

A major highlight was the address by the Chief Guest of the day - Dr. Fr. A. Amaladoss SDB, the Principal of Don Bosco College. He delivered a patriotic and insightful message, witnessed by the eminent faculty, students, and well-wishers. Dr. Fr. Amaladoss emphasized that the Indian Constitution stands as a testament to India's rich heritage, its distinction as the world's largest democracy, and its enduring legacy. As a responsible citizen, he encouraged everyone to enjoy both the privileges and responsibilities granted by the Constitution, reminding all present of their integral role in preserving these ideals. During his address, he inspired students and faculty to be ever mindful of their rights and duties, urging them to cultivate a sense of devoted commitment and patriotic spirit. He called on everyone to honor the Constitution by not just knowing its tenets, but by following its principles in both spirit and letter. According to him, establishing the four pillars of the Constitution and upholding ethical and moral conduct are lifetime achievement goals that enable everyone to live as brothers and sisters in the nation.

Furthering this message, Dr. Fr. Amaladoss urged that citizens should live with freedom of expression, faith, and equal opportunities, without fear or shame. He stressed that these constitutional values allow for harmonious coexistence and the full realization of India's democratic vision. The event concluded with the reading of the Preamble, the Fundamental Rights and Duties, musical performances, the National Anthem, and a Vote of Thanks by Mr. John Paul Kandulna, reflecting a spirit of unity and national pride.​ The entire event was led by Miss. Mrigakhi Goswami, HOD,  Department of Political Science.

Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India. The programme at Don Bosco College Golaghat aimed to foster awareness about the Constitution among students and staff, promoting civic responsibility and national pride. The vibrant participation reflected the commitment of the college community to uphold constitutional ideals and educate future generations about their importance.
